Last September 25, 2012, T.G.I.Friday’s Philippines held its 17th Annual Shake, Rattle, and Pour Bartender Championship at their Bonifacio High Street branch. This Inter-Store Bartending competition showcases exciting display of bartending skills of each participant from different T.G.I.Friday’s branches all over the country.
Talented bartenders who participate in this year’s competition includes Joel Delos Santos (Bonifacio High Street),Mike Rabago (Glorietta), Edu Manabati (Alabang), Genrev Bacasno (Rembrant), Wilfredo Marcelo (Malate), Aldrin Javar (Trinoma), Francis Domingo (Robinsons Galleria), Marc Bautista (SM Mall of Asia), Mark Maranon (Ayala Center Cebu), Gino Simbillo (Marquee Mall Pampanga), Lorenzo Midguel Salazar (Davao), Donn Mark Celestino (Eastwood) and Harold Puno (Subic.)
First part of the competition challenges the participants’ pouring skill accuracy in which Joel "El Presidente" Delos Santos of T.G.I.Friday’s Bonifacio High Street outperformed competitors. Next part was the Freestyle-flaring round wherein bartenders flaunted their impressive skills not just with flaring but with concocting drinks, interacting with guests, and entertaining the crowd as well.
At the end of the competition, it was Rev “The Revolution” Bacasno of T.G.I.Friday’s Rembrant Tomas Morato who emerged victorious among the aspiring champions. Joel "El Presidente" Delos Santos of T.G.I.Friday’s Bonifacio High Street on the other hand was named first runner up.
Aside from valuable prizes, the champion will get to represent the Philippines to the T.G.I.Friday’s Asia Pacific regional bartender championship to be held in Australia.
