Crystal Jade Dining IN Weekend Dim Sum Buffet Feast is another delightful addition to the growing number of eat-all-you-can dim sum promos available here in Manila. With our deep-rooted love for this known Chinese cuisine, Dim Sum All-You-Can-Eat is the kind of feast we want to indulge in. Who cannot say no to unlimited dim sum? Definitely not I. Especially when it is a good quality dim sum that Crystal Jade Dining IN at Bonifacio High Street Central BGC The Fort, local franchise of Crystal Jade Singapore serves.
“Little morsels of love” is said to be the literal meaning of dim sum. At Crystal Jade Dining IN, they make it a point that by not compromising their quality ingredients and the impeccable way they prepare their food. This ensures them that they are making their diners feel that indeed, what they are feasting on are little morsels of love. With a band of skilled culinary team spearheaded by experienced master dim sum chef, diners can be confident that what they are feasting on are of unparalleled high quality. After all, Crystal Jade wouldn’t have CNNGo Culinary Award for Best Dim Sum Category under its helm for nothing.
Variety of dim sum is included on this buffet promo. Some say that the choices are not as extensive as the other dimsum buffet being offered at other known hotel restaurants that carry the same treat, but each and every serving of dim sum at Crystal Jade is definitely well worth the money.
We tried this Weekend Dimsum Buffet at Crystal Jade Dining IN one afternoon and here is the entire menu of dim sum goodness that diners may enjoy upon availing this promo. I have included the price of each dim sum so that you may make a comparison of how much you can actually save with this buffet as compare to having it ala carte.
Steamed Shrimp Dumpling "Ha Kau" (Php 190 / 4pcs.)
~ Definitely one of the best Ha Kau I have tried in Manila! I love the thin wrapper with enough bite to it, while I adore the generous amount of plump and juicy shrimps inside. Even my friend Rina, who is equally crazy about ha kau agrees that Crystal Jade's version is indeed good.
Steamed Pork and Shrimp Dumpling with Crab Roe "Siew Mai" (Php 190 / 4pcs.)
~ After being impressed with Crystal jade's Ha Kau, I never doubted that their pork and shrimp dumpling would be just as good and I was right. The wrapper was soft and the meat was not dry, a clear indication that it was freshly made upon order.
Steamed B.B.Q. Pork Bun (Php 180 / 3pcs.)
~ This kind of reminds me of my favorite hong kong style siopao from one o my favorite Chinese restaurant in Binondo, The President Tea House. I only had a bite of it since I was saving space for other dim sum to try, but its enough for me to consider that it was good.
Steamed Beancurd Skin Rolled with Shrimp and Minced Pork in Oyster Sauce (Php 180 / 3pcs.)
~ I love the fact that the flavor of the beancurd and its filling was still noticeable and was not completely overshadowed by the oyster sauce.
Steamed Glutinous Rice with Conpoy wrapped in Lotus Leaf (Php 190 / 2pcs.)
~ Although I am not the type who enjoys machang, I must say that Crystal Jade's well worth the try. The photo below may look as if it could use more filling inside, but in reality, the ration of filling to the glutinous rice is just perfect.
Steamed Vegetarian Dumpling with Coriander (Php 160 / 3pcs.)
I have had several vegetable dumplings before but this variation of Crystal Jade is definitely one of the best I have tried in terms of texture and flavor. The incorporation of coriander was a good move in my opinion as it lends depth of flavor to it. By the look of it, you would know that it is bursting with filling.
Deep Fried Yam Dumpling with Scallop, Minced Pork, and Mushroom (Php 180 / 3pcs.)
~ I have always enjoy taro puff dim sum and Crystal Jade's version is not an exception. What separates it from the rest however is the filling made up of scallop, pork, and mushroom that elevates the experience further.
Steamed Shrimp and Spinach Dumpling (Php 160 / 3pcs.)
~ This one could be easily pass for as the usual vegetable dumpling. Yet, its spinach filling also has plump shrimp incorporated to it, making it more flavorful and delighting.
Steamed Chicken Feet with Special Sauce (Php 160)
~ I find this chicken feet dish a tad spicy for my taste but it does not mean that it was not good. The flavor was downright savory while the tenderness was equally noteworthy.
Steamed Radish Cake (Php 160)
~ It was my first time to try a different take to the usual radish cake and I must say that while I am a fan of the usual pan-fried version, this one was not bad at all. Although in appearance, I mistook it for a sweet dish instead of savory. Nevertheless, it was surprisingly good, and healthy if I may add.
Steamed Pork Rib in Black Bean Sauce (Php 160)
~ One bite and I was THIS close to ordering a heaping bowl of rice. This pork rib dish was that good. I love its tenderness as much as I love its savory flavor. The black bean sauce did justice to the pork as it does not overpower its taste.
Steamed Rice Roll with Shrimp (Php 220)
If there is one thing that drove me crazy among the dim sum choices at Crystal jade, it was their immaculate-looking Steamed Rice Roll with Shrimp. It is essentially like ha kau but not in its usual circular form. The softness of the rice roll goes perfectly well with the plump shrimp. The special sauce that comes in every serving leans on the sweet side but not overwhelmingly so. This I must say, whenever you are dining at Crystal Jade, do not miss this dim sum.
Steamed Rice Roll with B.B.Q. Pork and Coriander (Php 180)
~ This is another variation of the steamed rice roll which has B.B.Q. Pork and Coriander for a filling. It was a nice option if one prefer the usual goodness of meat on their dimsum instead of the shrimp.
Steamed Rice Roll with Scallop & Asparagus (Php 220)
~ For those who wants a clean flavor with their steamed rice roll, this one with scallop and asparagus filling is highly recommended. Among the three, this one has the lightest flavor hence, the sauce comes handy.
Steamed Cream Custard Bun with Salted Egg Yolk (Php 160 / 3pcs.)
~ Aside from the steamed rice rolls, this custard bun is also reason enough for me to return to Crystal Jade and avail of their promo. A sweet salty treat for those who has an affinity for that flavor combination, this custard bun will make one crave for me with its soft and fluffy bun and downright flavorful filling.
Baked Bo Lo B.B.Q. Pork Bun (Php 180 / 3pcs.)
~ I do not know any person who does not love pork bun. It's a thing right now and while Tim Ho Wan is popular for dishing out one of the best, Crystal Jade also takes pride for serving people their own version of it. What I love about this pork bun is the bo lo (pineapple) crust that crowns the bun.
Pan-fried Carrot Cake with Dried Shrimp & Preserved Meat (Php 160 / 3pcs.)
~ Those who are fan of pan-fried radish cake should not be sad with Crystal jade's steamed rendition of it because they also have the carrot cake which is basically the same only it is incorporated with shredded carrots.
Deep-fried Beancurd Skin Rolled with Shrimp (Php 190 / 3pcs.)
~ Overshadowed by other gorgeous looking dim sum in the menu, this deep-fried beancurd skin rolled with shrimp should not be missed since it is also packed with flavor. Since it was fried, it holds a delightful texture that people who has affinity for crisp goodies may appreciate.
Deep-fried Shrimp & Shredded Chicken Spring Roll (Php 160 / 3pcs.)
~ Dim sum feast wouldn't be complete without spring roll, hence, they also have it in their menu. I love the fact that chicken was used instead of the usual pork because it lends a different flavor than the usual.
Baked B.B.Q. Pork Pastry with Sesame (Php 160 / 3pcs.)
~ If you are like me who loves emapanadas, Crystal Jade's Baked B.B.Q. Pork Pastry comes highly recommended. I love that the shell where the pork was encased was flavorful in itself making every bite enjoyable.
Baked Mini Egg Tart (Php 160 / 3pcs.)
~ What I love about these mini egg tarts is the fact that it wouldn't kill you with excessive sweetness. It has the right balance between sweet and creamy hence, not cloying. An order of this may take 15 to 20 minutes before it arrives in your table because everything at Crystal Jade is made upon order to ensure freshness of the food, so better order it on the onset of your meal time to avoid the long wait.
Deep-fried Shrimp & Mango Roll (Php 190 / 3pcs.)
~ This is also one of my favorite among the choices because it kind of reminds me of the seafood roll I love at The President Tea House. The taste of the mango is very apparent making it a sweet dish rather than savory. Best paired with mayonnaise but it can also be enjoyable as it is.
This Dim Sum buffet at Crystal Jade is inclusive of unlimited Iced Tea hence, no need to add additional payment for your drinks. Other items on their regular menu may also be ordered while availing of this unlimited dim sum promo.
