Our first night during our Cebu Food Crawl with the Food Crew PH, we were on a roll and feeling we could take anything delicious that comes our way. After all, some of us are food bloggers and all of us are food enthusiasts trained to handle several restaurants in one day. But that particular day, we were scheduled to have two dinners in two restaurants located at The Grand Convention Center in Cebu.
One of the two restaurants was Tsay Cheng, a fine dining Chinese restaurant popular in Cebu.

I love Chinese food in general so I was a bit excited to check out Tsay Cheng. Prior to my visit in Cebu, one of my relatives already recommended that I should take time to visit Tsay Cheng. It was a good thing that it was included in our food crawl line up.
Despite the fact that we just came in from a sumptuous dinner just roughly five minutes ago, everyone was back on their game when the dimsum tray was delivered for us to feast on. We were full yes, but the enticing sight and aroma of the dimsum were just too hard to resist. I remember having tried the Pork Siomai, Hakao, Spareribs, and Chicken feet and find all of them delicious.
But the dimsum feast was just a bonus because truth is, we visited Tsay Cheng Chinese Restaurant to try out their new Feast Bowl Specials. Yes, we are talking about dealing with servings upon servings of bowls filled with rice and variety of delicious viands here.
Fish Fillet and Sour Sauce Rice (Php125), Lechon Kawali Ampalaya Rice (Php125), Asado Rice (Php125), Beef Brisket Rice (Php125), Sweet and Sour Pork Rice (Php125), Barbecue Duck Rice (Php200), Braised Pecking Duck Rice (Php200), Chopsuey Rice (Php125), Fish Fillet with Bean Curd Rice (Php125), Beef Ampalaya Rice (Pp125), Spareribs Taosi Rice (Php125), and Lemon Chicken Rice (Php125) .
I did my best to get a little bite of each of the dishes and while I find everything impressive, my favorites are the Sweet and Sour Pork and I am not being biased here. Yes, I have deep love for Sweet and Sour Pork in general but Tsay Cheng's version of it was just so good. Another favorite is the Barbecue Duck Rice with its crisp skin and tender meat.
These delicious Feast Bowl Specials are available from Monday to Friday
11am to 2pm which makes it a good reason to visit Tsay Cheng during
lunch hours. I have tried a lot of rice bowls in different Chinese
restaurants before and having tried the ones they serve at Tsay Cheng
made me wish so hard that they open a branch in Manila as well.
