A Stay at Makati Diamond Residences

I have been to decent number of hotel staycations with my KTG Manila bloggers family and the recent one which I deem really enjoyable and memorable was our stay at Makati Diamond Residences. A luxurious serviced apartment in the heart of Makati Central Bssiness District, Makati Diamond Residences is part of San Miguel Properties Inc.

Now I say that when asked for recommendation on good place to stay in Makati area, I would certainly highly recommend Makati Diamond Residences. Heaven knows how I love that place. 

Everything was just perfect during our stay. The place, the company, and of course the food - those glorious food! I wish I have blogged about this soon, but corrupted memory card means months of waiting before you could retrieved lost files. So now, here I am. 

Personally, I have penchant for staying at serviced apartment because I feel that I have everything I need while I am away from home. Functional kitchen is also very important for me, so that also explains such penchant. I have a favorite serviced apartment here in Manila, now, Makati Diamond Residences also has a spot in my heart.

During our stay, I was assigned to a 64Sqm One Bedroom Suite. As expected, my room has a luxurious vibe that made me almost not want to leave it. 

We were informed that all 410 luxurious guestrooms at Makati Diamond Residences are outfitted with European and Filipino furnishings from Calligaris, Bo Concept, and Las Palmas. No wonder every corner is beautiful!

Room comes with complimentary Wi-Fi, access to over 5,000 newspapers and magazines with Press Reader, complimentary minibar snacks and refreshments which are replenished daily, complimentary Toby's Estate Coffee at Baked, and access to Health Club Amenities such as the indoor lap pool, fitness center, and TRX Studio. 

Room amenities include fully functional kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave or oven, convection stove, washer and dryer, walk-in closet, large shower and bath area, 55 inch LED television sets both in living room and bedroom, office and entertainment area. 

Aside from my One Bedroom Suite, one of my favorite parts of Makati Diamond Residences was the Club Lounge. Our accommodation includes access to Club Lounge were guests were given the exclusivity to some perks such as check-in and check-out processes, pre-dinner cocktail, and a more private breakfast buffet to name a few. 

Having access to Club Lounge makes stay at Makati Diamond Residences all the more worth it. Especially if you will avail of its added perks. In our case, we had the pre-dinner cocktail and enjoyed variety of cocktail drinks and other alcoholic beverages alongside delicious food. The food served were decent enough to satisfy a hungry tummy that one may skip dinner altogether. 

It was also at the Club Lounge where we opted to have our breakfast buffet where I enjoyed great breakfast selections and probably the best Caldereta I have ever tasted aside from my grandma's of course. 

Speaking of dining, one unique thing about Makati Diamond Residences is their Dining Card. Basically, The Dining Card is a complimentary dining privilege for Makati Diamond Residences' guests that will give them the flexibility to enjoy complimentary food they want anytime among Makati Diamond Residences' partner restaurants. No need to wake up early to join the queue for breakfast buffet because you can have it elsewhere even outside the property for free as well with the use of the Dining Card.

Part of the itinerary of our stay at Makati Diamond Residences was to check out Alfred Restaurant's new offerings. Alfred is the all-day dining in-house restaurant of Makati Diamond Residences. 

Every Friday, Alfred Restaurant is running a buffet promo called Bon Vivant Fridays wherein guests may enjoy French flavors that suits well with the luxurious ambiance of the restaurant.

Some of my favorite during the Bon Vibant dinner we had were Seafood Croute filled with Salmon and Spinach, Sageand Browned Butter Foie Gras Raviolini, and the crowd favorite Raclette Cheese over potatoes, cocktail onions, and cornichons. 

During lunchtime, we also got to try some of the new ala carte offerings at Alfred Restaurant. These new dishes include Curried Cauliflower Soup, Roasted Beet Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing, Crabmeat and Uni pasta, Swordfish and Grilled Vegetables with Barcaiola Sauce, Grilled Mustard Chicken with Spinach, Pecorino, and Soft Egg, Roasted Lamb Loin Stuffed with Goat Cheese, Ratatouille, Potato Rosette, and Black Olive Jus.

Alfred Restaurant is open 24-hours and is located at the property's ground floor.

Right beside Alfred Restaurant is Baked, Makati Diamond Residences in-house little bakeshop and cafe that sells delicious baked items and Toby Estate coffee selections. It is a good spot when you love coffee or if you fancy some baked dessert as well. Baked is open from 6am up until 9pm daily.

We also got to spend an amazing time at Whisky and Cigar Bar located at the 28th floor and is open form 4pm up to 12am daily. We had a great time drinking the celebrating the night away ll thanks to the bartenders who made all the delicious cocktail drinks and chows we enjoyed that night.

Also included in the list of dining destination within Makati Diamond Residences is the Pool Bar located at the 4th floor of the property where the Indoor Lap Pool is located. Guests may order food and drinks by the bar and enjoy it at the designated dining area. It is open from 1pm to 9pm.

Indoor Lap Pool at Makati Diamond Residences I find very impressive not only because it is indoor which I always prefer, but because it is in an enclosed area with air conditioner functionality. Of course it is controlled well so as to avoid guests catching cold as they swim the day away. I am just not a fan of sunlight and warm weather so this pool is perfect for me. 

For guests who are health buffs or for those who are just interested, Makati Diamond Residences has 24-hour Gym and a TRX studio which is open from 6am to 11pm. Gym buffs in our group found delight upon checking out these areas and if you are just like them, by all means enjoy these perks at Makati Diamond Residences. Both are located at the 4th floor of the property.

For those who wants some relaxation, there is a Spa located at the 3rd floor and is open from 12noon to 1am. I was deadset on trying one of their spa service but our schedule was packed with activities that I promise myself to go back on my next stay at Makati Diamond. 

Another thing well-worth enjoying while staying at Makati Diamond Residences is the Private Cinema which opens from 9am to 9pm. You have to check the schedule availability of the room just to be sure. Food are allowed inside for an ultimate movie binge experience. 

There is also Business Center that provides photo copy, fax, computer, conference room, and other things that guests may use for business purposes. For those who are interested to have their private function or celebration held at Makati Diamond Residences, there are several function rooms available depending on your needs. 

All in all, our stay at Makati Diamond Residences was one of the best staycations I had with my KTG Family. It is indeed the best location to be in especially if you have business within Makati Central Business District. Needless to say, I am looking forward to spending time again at Makati Diamond and would be more than happy to recommend it to anyone who are looking for a good place to stay in Makati.
