One of the perks that you can get when staying at Boracay Mandarin Island Hotel, one of the best hotels in Boracay is the breakfast buffet that comes with the accommodation. The buffet is held everyday at the hotel's award-winning in-house restaurant, Don Vito Ristorante Italiano located at the ground floor in front of the hotel.
It's not as if the feast that we had at Don Vito Ristorante Italiano is not enough, the morning of our stay in Boracay was greeted with a breakfast buffet spread that kept us energized the whole day.
Served daily from 6am to 10am, Boracay Mandarin Island Hotel's Breakfast Buffet can be availed by anyone even if they are not the guest of the hotel. For the amount of Php 350++ I must say that it is already a good deal. While the spread is limited to breakfast food only, the quality of the food is very impressive.
Just like some hotel buffets in Manila, different breakfast dishes were distributed to their respective stations. They have salad bar, bread and cereal corner, soup station, main dishes spread, drinks station, dessert corner, and egg station.
Most food were enticingly spread against the backdrop of different wines which are also available for the diners. I have notice quite a few number of available red, white, and sparkling wines and I am impressed with the brand that Don Vito carries.
I am a big breakfast kind of person and I could say that I am impressed with their offerings. Considering the affordable price that the non-guest diners have to pay to partake with this kind of buffet spread, it is indeed a value for money kind of deal.
There are some items on the spread which are available everyday while there are those which changes from time to time depending n the availability. With that, there is no need to worry if you will be staying at the hotel for number of days because your free breakfast buffet wouldn't be tiring since Don Vito plays on variety.
With the two plateful of trips I made to the spread, i was able to taste most of the dishes that Cristina Po, one of the owners of the hotel, recommends. Of the number of food I have tried, it was the pommes au gratin and the bacon which I did go back to twice. The sotanghon was also good and the omelet was cooked to perfection.
Another thing that I love about Don Vito is their freshly baked breads of different variety. We were told that most of the locals in Boracay rely at Don Vito for their daily bread consumption so they make it a point to baked ample amount for the diners and for the non-diners who would want to avail of their breads.
Pineapple and Orange juice were readily available for the diners' disposal but if you opt to have coffee with your breakfast, you can request definitely request for it and the very accommodating food staff will be more than happy to serve you with freshly brewed coffee on your table.
The breakfast buffet experience I had at Don Vito Riatorante Italiano only steeled my resolved that Boracay Mandarin Island Hotel is indeed one of the best hotels that anyone should consider when in Boracay.
