I remember it was only early this year when I get the chance to try Italianni's Holiday Feast Platter for 2011. During that time, I admit that although Italianni's has always been one of my favorite restaurants here in Manila, trying out different restaurants for food blogging limits revisits to the familiar. But all things fall into place when I was reacquainted with the old favorite because this year, there were countless of times that I get to dine at Italianni's.
Time flies fast, and now I am writing about Italianni's Holiday Feast Platters for this year 2012. With the spirit of Christmas season still lingering even after the day itself, gastronomical festivities still continue at Italianni's with this holiday offering.
While I am aware that most of us still have tons of food for our disposal stashed in our pantries, Italianni's Holiday Feast Platters are worth visiting the restaurant for. I have enjoyed their Tre Combinazioni platter and I must say that their feast for this are equally satisfying. There are two Holiday Feast Platter to choose from; one is the Country Classic, and the other one is the Farmer's Feast.
The Country Classic is a bountiful combination of Creamy Marinara Pasta with Smoked Salmon, perfectly Grilled Chicken, and Tender Boneless Beef Short Ribs. For the price of Php 1,125 you'll get these three dishes in their own respective big plates ready to be devoured. While the pasta and the chicken dish are both impressive, it was the beef short ribs in my opinion plays as the star in this amazing combination.

The Farmer's Feast on the other hand includes Aglio Olio Pasta, Herb Roasted Chicken, and tender slow braised Baby Back Ribs. Also priced at Php 1,125 this feast is a delight to the palate with the perfect combination of the simplicity of the pasta, the earthy flavor of the chicken, and the robust meaty taste of the ribs.

Having tried one of their previous holiday platters last year, I appreciate that the dishes are no longer haphazardly dished out in one plate. The combinations are perfect as each dishes contribute variety of flavors and textures that blends perfectly with each other. The price is very reasonable considering Italianni's is known to dish out big servings. The only thing I wished to be included in the platter though is serving of salad greens. But then again, it can be ordered separately anyway so it isn't a big deal, at least for me.
All in all I am happy and contended with this years Holiday Feast Platters from Italianni's and I am looking forward to what they will be offering for the holiday season next year.
And oh, not only I am a fan of Italianni's New York Cheesecake, I am crazy for it! So, I suggest that after feasting on your holiday platters, go and order this cheesecake with cup of coffee to cap off a perfectly festive holiday meal with your loved ones.
