F All Day Dining Buffet Restaurant of F1 Hotel Manila located at The Fort, Bonifacio Gloal City is currently celebrating the month of July through an All-American Buffet aptly tagged as United Taste of America. This month is almost over but due to popular demand, this buffet feast is extended until August 6,2014.
F1 Hotel Manila is known to do several partnerships with different chefs from all over the place to dish out themed buffet feast to be rolled out at F Restaurant. This time, together with F1 Hotel Manila’s Executive Chef Sau del Rosario, they partnered with USA Poultry and Egg Export Council (USAPEEC) to stage a feast of American Dishes to make this month more exciting at F Restaurant.
Over the weekend, we sampled some of the dishes at F All Day Dining Buffet Restaurant and experience the United Taste of America. 4th of July celebration may be over but it is a different case for F1 Hotel Manila. The date extension will allow diners to experience this feast until the first week of the next month.
Foodies had a great time feasting on the recently concluded LUZVIMINDA Filipino Buffet at F All Day Dining Buffet Restaurant last month. This month is no different. With variety of Western food, all those who have affinity for American food are in for a treat. I myself is a fan of this cuisine, hence, I made it a point to try majority of the offerings as much as possible.
Here are the dishes that you can expect at United Taste of America of F All Day Dining Buffet Restaurant at F1 Hotel Manila. Take note that these are just some of those available; there are plenty of others more which are added on the buffet spread on the daily basis. There are also some Filipino food which are thrown in a mix to offer variety, dishes that compliments American cuisine.
Carving station boasts of a staple American dish on Thanksgiving Day, US Roasted Turkey with equally enticing roasted vegetables on the side. I tried several servings of this and while I usually prefer roasted chicken over turkey, this one has an impressive smokey flavor which I liked.
If I found the US Roasted Turkey impressive enough, this US Roasted Duck with Orange and Rosemary blew me away. I love Peking Duck but this one equally fits the bill. The US duck was very flavorful and way more meaty compared to the Chinese variety. The flavor of orange and rosemary worked well together that I could not count how many servings of this have I finished because I was too caught up with it to care!
There's also US Roast Beef best paired with potato wedges. The carving station at F Restaurant is always my favorite spot among the selections, and this beefy goodness steeled my resolved that until now, it is still my favorite spot.
There's also Southern Fried Chicken which crisp skin made me go back for seconds. The flavor surprisingly penetrated the meat of the chicken making it flavorful all the way!
I am always in love with roast beef dish and this US Beef Pot Roast is no exception. I particularly love the etnderness of the beef which was a dead giveaway that it was slow roasted for hours.
Glazed Ham with Maple Sauce may feel and look Christmas-y but it is the kind of dish that you would want to enjoy every day, for the rest of the year - if you must. I tried eating this with rice and it worked well but having it sandwiched in between fresh bread and cheese made it all the more impressive.
It may not look good on the photo (or the way I captured it) but this Potato Gratin is a clear indication that we should not judge by outside appearance. I love that the thin slices of potatoes still has a slight crunch on it while the creamy sauce made it extremely addicting. They also offer Broccolli Gratin which I found equally impressive.
I saw several kids enjoying plate after plate of this Meatball Spaghetti so while I have not tried it, it must say something about the quality of the dish.
This Seafood Gumbo is kind of like the mix you that will make a paella dish complete. I tried the crab and the lobster thrown in the mix and it made me a happy camper.
Buttered Vegetables makes a perfect side dish because it goes well with almost everything.
Generously topped with seafood, meat, and vegetables, Seafood Jambalaya is already a great meal in itself ~ that is if you can resist all the other enticing dishes on the buffet spread.
I was looking for some manly mean hamburger on the spread but I guess it wasn't part of the menu that day. Good thing though that they have Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich which I prefer over hamburger, so it was a good day for me.
There's also Pepperonni Pizza which again, popular among the kids that weekend. I tried having a slice and I appreciate its thin and crisp crust.
There are also numbers of great looking and good tasting appetizers such as this Shrimp Cocktail.
I wasn't able to catch the name of this dish, it has shrimp sitting atop papaya bat. It was so good looking and dare I say, Instagram worthy!
Several salads are available on the spread, my favorite was the Cobb Salad which was beautifully presented on the table. There are also US Turkey Waldorf Salad which run out immediately before I was able to take photos of it.
Makis, Sushi and Sahimi are also included on the line up because hey, buffet cannot be complete without these staples - or at least for some, eh?
The dessert selections are made up of different kinds of sweet offerings including this delicious Key Lime Pie.
The Key Lime Pie may be visually arresting but not to be overshadowed is this Baked Alaska which I must say was one of the prettiest desserts among the selections. It tasted good too especially if you're up for something delicately sweet.
Mini cakes which were also gorgeous i terms of appearance and taste were this Red Velvet Cakes.
Sweet and tangy Strawberry Cakes.
And these decadent and moist Chocolate Brownies. There were also assorted cookies which I love!
Name tags of the dishes were given a USA flair by having the US Flag printed on it.
While the friendly attendants on the other hand are sporting a US Texas Style kind of get up.
