“Do you have what it takes to be the first ever MasterChef Asia?”
This question is probably the most challenging yet exciting inquiry any Masterchef aspirants will ever hear. I am guessing most of us are familiar with the famous cooking reality show in the US, MasterChef. Lucky for us Asians, A+E Networks Asia has approved a pan-regional Asian version of the well-known series. MasterChef Asia will soon hit an airtime at Lifetime channel this year.
While MasterChef Asia judges have not been named yet, but the good news for amateur cooks who wants to have a chance to be part of the show is that MasterChef Asia is now conducting its casting call.
MasterChef Asia is currently looking for amateur cooks with passion for cooking to grab this chance to be the first ever MasterChef Asia. Selected contestants will be chosen from across Asia. Opportunity awaits those brave enough to conquer their dream.
HOW TO JOIN THE MASTERCHEF ASIA
To join MasterChef Asia, you just have to submit a photo, video, and filled out application online through MasterChef Asia website before March 5, 2015. Mail in application is also accepted which should be sent no later than the same date.
The audition is open for residents of the following countries; Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea, Myanmar, Brunei, Cambodia and Laos.
Note that there are rules and restriction to qualify for audition, in a nutshell, these are some of them:
• You must be a resident of any the above mentioned countries
• You must be 18 years or above on March 1, 2015
• You must be an amateur cook. Meaning, you have no prior professional or formal catering or culinary school qualifications over the last 10 years.
• You must be available to film for eight weeks during the period between April 1, 2015 and September 30, 2015.
• You cannot have been convicted of any serious crime.

MasterChef Asia is presented by the Singapore Tourism Board and Knorr, in association with Panasonic and Changi Airport Group. The 15-episode MasterChef Asia series will be filmed in Singapore and is commissioned to be produced by Endemol Southeast Asia.
