A group of young entrepreneur sent bottles of Nutcracker Peanut Butter for me to try. I am all for supporting local entrepreneur especially those who have just started so I gladly accepted the proposal to try these homemade flavored peanut butters and give my opinion about it.
These young business owners behind Nutcracker Manila hails from University of Santo Tomas and I can feel their excitement in having people try their product. Their enthusiasm is contagious and I salute their brave move to go into business.
I may have mentioned before here on the blog that I am very picky when it comes to peanut butter. I am pretty loyal to my favorite brand if pressed to make a decision. But I am not closing my door to trying out new brands and sharing my thoughts on it here at YedyLicious.
I am glad that I keep an open mind about it because it led me to being introduced to Nutcracker Peanut Butter. Dare I say from the get-go that I am utterly impressed?
Nutcracker Manila currently has three peanut butter variants; the original, chocolate, and white chocolate.
Nutcracker Peanut Butter Original flavor is everything I want in my peanut butter. Silky smooth in texture and boasting of nutty flavor without overbearingly so.
Nutcracker Peanut Butter Chocolate flavor is my favorite among the three because while the taste of peanut is still very apparent, the subtle hint of chocolate makes it richer and all the more palatable. Even my parents who have tried it were impressed.
It sort of reminds me of the famous hazelnut flavored chocolate spread but in peanut butter form. Very subtle similarity but you know that it's there. I appreciate that the chocolate they use is of decent quality.
Nutcracker Peanut Butter White Chocolate flavor on the other hand features a milder version of the aforementioned two variants. My sister enjoyed this much and she appreciates that the mouth-feel is smooth, there are tiny specks of white chocolate in the mix.
Truth be told, Nutcracker Peanut Butter impressed me to the core. I love having it as it is, in a spoon, and eating it with reckless yet blissful abandon. But it also goes well with plain white bread.
