I recently had lunch at Outback Steakhouse in Makati and as expected, the experience was delightful. There are several branches of Outback Steakhouse here in Manila but the ones I frequent to is their branch in Glorietta. It was a simple and quick lunch but it brought so many good memories.
I have mentioned in my last Outback Steakhouse blog post that this restaurant has always been one of my favorite even way back those days when I wasn't blogging yet.
To this day, that still holds true. Had I not moved to Antipolo, I will still probably frequent to this branch. But then again, a trip to Outback whenever I am in Makati isn't a bad idea, right?
I was able to unearth some photos from my previous visits to Outback Makati. There are plenty more but those were hardcore Throwback Thursday Photos that are all too funny to post here, so here are just some.
Clockwise from upper left photo; (1) Get together with some of my KTG Blogger friends where we feasted on different meats and then some. (2) Early dinner and late lunch with my best buddies Gio and Eugene. (3) Night of good food and great booze, also with my best buddies. I am inlove with Outback's Long Island Ice Tea, finished 6 glasses in one night on top of some beer. (4) There are countless of times that I brought my mom to Outback because she also loves it there.
So, going back to Outback is like visiting an old friend. A trusted good ol' friend.
On the table:
No visit at Outback will ever be complete without feasting on their complimentary Bushman Bread. Always warm that the whipped butter will easily melt as you put a dab of it on the bread. and always comforting that it can't be helped to ask for more.
Appetizer Duo (Php429)
This platter comprised of two of the best selling appetizers at Outback; the Kookaburra Wings and the Crispy Calamari. So this can be a good option if you want these two in one go.
Personally, I love the Kookaburra Wings (who doesn't?) and is still by far one of the best chicken wings out there. I love the impeccable crispness of the calamari so this was a good choice as well.
Crispy Parmesan Shrimp Salad (Php569)
This is always an all-time favorite at Outback. The flavor of the shrimps which has a mild kick of spiciness to it complements the sweet and tangy flavor of the balsamic reduction dressing on the crisp lettuce.
The serving is always generous, as with any other dishes at Outback. Single serving can be shared by 2 to 3 person.
Victoria's Fillet (Php1,199 / 6oz.)
This fillet of grilled beef was still bursting with flavor just like the way I remember it. It's lean with just a little amount of fat that keeps it moist and tender.
I deem this steak is perfect for ladies as there are other manly steak on Outback Menu, but do not underestimate its capability to satisfy because it is nonetheless filling.
For dessert I had the Chocolate Thunder From Down Under coupled with a good cup of brewed coffee. Such a perfect combination to end the meal. I just noticed that the brownie, which was by the way low in sugar and made in house, was a tad too big as compared to my previous visits at Outback. Which is a good thing especially for those who like me, are very much in love with this dessert.
I was also able to try the Coco Berry Smoothie (Php165) which is a combination of creamy coconut and pineapple juice blended with strawberry puree and the Cherry Limeade (Php165) which is a perfect drink during hot days.
Needless to say, my recent visit at Outback was a pleasant one. The quality of food is still highly commendable and the service which is one of the many things I love at Outback is still as professional and friendly as ever.
I am still looking forward to dining at Outback again, maybe this time with some family and friends, and create nice memories with good food and great service.
