I was at Eastwood City Libis last week working on my writing assignment and part of the itinerary of my day was to check out Chelsea Kitchen in Eastwood Mall. It is the newest branch of Chelsea Kitchen, and just like its branch in SM Megamall, it allows an easy access for busy shoppers to a much needed respite.
It was technically a brunch, my dining experience at Chelsea Kitchen Eastwood. I was dead set on just getting my job done as I have four restaurants to visit that day.
But I am not really the type who could refuse a palatable feast that beckons. So with the strategy in mind relying on the proverbial food pacing, I allowed my self to indulge at Chelsea Kitchen.
The ambiance at Chelsea Kitchen in Eastwood Mall holds the same charm that the other branch has. There is a difference of course, but not enough that it can be mistaken as a separate concept. It occupies the spot where the now defunct Momo Cafe once was.
There really is no difference when it comes to menu. The dishes we all love at Chelsea Kitchen SM Megamall, we can still find at this new branch. So everything is pretty much familiar to me that choosing what to have was just a walk in the park.
First on the table was the well-loved Truffled Mac N' Cheese (Php310) - a dish that made its presence known even before gracing the table, all thanks to its truffle essence. Generous cheese sauce, perfectly cooked pasta, and pizza crisp on the side were enough for me to love this dish. Yet, the addition of truffle essence and bacon bits made it all the more indulging.
Next was the Seafood Tinapa Aglio Olio (Php320) one of the dishes which carries the "must try" tag like a badge of honor. Rightfully so, since it carries the flavor that one could ever hoped for a seafood pasta to be. The thing that me me love about this dish is the combination of fresh tinapa flakes and crisp tinapa bits.
I first fell in love with Chelsea Kitchen's U.S. Roast Beef and Gravy (Php495) during my first visit at their SM Megamall branch. I remember wanting to hug everyone in the kitchen upon my first bite of this beef in all its succulent glory. I am happy to report that I still feel the same way about it.
Chelsea Kitchen Eastwood also carries their impressive list of crafted refreshment. That morning, I opted for the Super Food Smoothie (Php195) because I have been cray about chia seeds these days. I find it really good and with the thought in mind that it is a healthy drink, I could feel the imaginary halo above my head while sipping it.
But then again I was having roast beef. No regrets though.
Being known as one of the foodie hubs in the Metro, there area a lot of restaurants around Eastwood City area. However, let me suggest that you pay Chelsea Kitchen a visit sometime because their food is really good. Serving portion is always generous, and price is very reasonable.
