Despite the rain today, there was no stopping SM Center Angono from opening its digitized cinema which marks the 55th SM Cinema branch and the 4th in whole of Rizal Province. The blessing ceremony which happened early this morning was graced with the presence Hon. Mayor Gerardo Calderon of Angono, Rizal, Prof. Ligaya Rubin (Wife of Vice Mayor Antonio Rubin), and other leaders of the Municipality of Angono Rizal.
SM Executives were also present such as Mr. Edgar Tejerero, President, SM Lifestyle Entertainment, Inc., Mr. Joaquin San Agustin, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Shopping Center Management Corporation, and Ms. Edwin Nava, Vice President of Operations, SM Lifestyle Entertainment, Inc.
SM Center Angono houses 4 cinemas with stadium-like seating that can accommodate 200 guests each. It boasts of
noteworthy feats which makes it a great destination in the area when one
wishes to relax and unwind by watching the latest movies.
It is said that this is the first ever cinema to operate in an SM Center which makes it pretty special. Other notable feature of cinema at SM Center Angono includes crisp digital surround sound system, walls with zero reverberation, crisp clear image of wall-to-wall screen, and 2D technology (no projection room needed). In addition, SM Center Angono cinema sports comfortable seats with wide and equally comfortable leg room with provision for PWD.
There is also the official snack and merchandise store, Snack Time which is poised to make the cinema entertainment experience complete by providing snacks and movie merchandise items for sale.
Currently, there are 306 SM Cinema screens across the nation making SM Cinema the largest cinema and exhibition brand with 60% of the country's total market share. Pretty impressive, yeah?
