The second day of our stay at Taal Vista Hotel Tagaytay was all about feasting on the amazing breakfast/brunch buffet at Taza Fresh Table Restaurant, checking out all the other things that Taal Vista Hotel has to offer, and basically enjoying the rest of our stay.
We are scheduled to check out and head back to Manila at around noon so make sure to make use of the remaining time we had for relaxation and enjoyment - two of the things anyone who wished to stay at Taal Vista Hotel can actually experience amidst the beautiful view and fine weather.
The previous night was one hell of a crazy bonding with our group that we didn't noticed we were already a couple of hours away from the dawn. Not that I am complaining because it was one of the best night spent with friends I had for what seems like a long time. It was a treasured moment, I must say.
The next day we were up past the crack of dawn. It's a good thing that instead of the usual early morning breakfast buffet, we were scheduled to have a breakfast/brunch buffet at Taaza Fresh Table instead. So, no rushing that happened which is a good thing as I am not a morning person lately.
We headed once again to Taza passing by the foggy Taal Vista View Deck. That particular morning, there was a bit of rain - drizzle to be exact. Which makes the experience all the more lovelier.
We were welcomed with a buffet spread at Taza - decent selections of breakfast food one would hoped to indulge in after a great night time session of endless bonding.
Salad selections are particularly fresh since we were at Taza Fresh Table after all.
There were rice variants, past dishes, viands comprising of meat, vegetables, poultry, and more meat.
There were also some fresh fruits, different cheeses, and some cold cuts.
The runaway winner - at least in our group was of course, the downright crisp and delicious bacon.
While the selections at the buffet spread were satisfying enough, Taza Fresh Table also offers ala carte breakfast and brunch menu. Somebody gotta do the hard work here, so we braced ourselves and try out these ala carte dishes as well.
There's Ham and Cheese Omelet we devoured with such gusto because we are a group of egg lovers. Actually, one can order egg and have it cooked whichever way they like.
There is also the downright impressive French Toast. I've had a lot of French Toasts in the past, I even create my own version at home, but this French Toast is so mysteriously good I can't fathom the logic behind it. Trust me, do not miss this one when you're having breakfast at Taza.
There's also the Classic Eggs Benedict - the very reason why I skipped on the BUttermilk Pancakes which is also available on the menu. It's Eggs Bene, the classic kind, so there really is a possibility to ditch other things because of its mere presence.
The Homemade Bacon made a repeat appearance on the table since it is also part of the breakfast menu. And we are not complaining since this is one mighty fine dish to be had when you're dining at Taza.
Another runaway favorite aside from the bacon is the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. I swear this is one of the best I have ever had. From its savory crisp coating down to the flavorful tender meat inside - it's a perfect fried chicken dish. The waffle was a good accompaniment but hey, I am a Filipino so a heaping cup of rice happened somewhere along the way.
I believe this corned beef dish was off the menu during our visit. I am including it here because it was also a good dish especially if one is big on beef, then this one can do the tricks to curb the beef cravings.
Just in time when the drizzle outside stopped and the sun presented itself which makes the view at Taal Vista more beautiful, we were done with our breakfast.
We still have plenty of time at hand so Gio and I decided to take a stroll and check out the other parts of the hotel.
Just in front of Taza, there's a place where people can buy pasalubongs. Yes, there's no need to leave the hotel just so you can buy native products of Tagaytay, Taal Vista Hotel got that covered.
We checked out the Mountain Wing part of the hotel and was astounded by the peace and calmness of the morning.
We also checked out the Swimming Pool area where there were already a handful of guest enjoying the water.
After the little stroll, it was time for us to head back to our room to wash up and prepare for our departure.
We passed by the view deck once again and took some photos because hey, the ambiance and the view were really enticing. A lot of people were already hovering over the beautiful view and I can't blame them, it was a lovely morning with the view of Taal.
Back to our room and we still did get to enjoy a beautiful view while preparing ourselves for the check out.
There's still time for some little nap which we took advantage since our eyes were all still puffy from the lack of sleep because of the previous night. Then again, we are not complaining, that night with little sleep was worth it, hence, regardless the puffy eyes, we're still all smile.
Richie, Eugene, and Rakee once again visited us in our room for last minute bonding before heading out our room to check out.
At noon we were all gathered at the hotel's lobby for check out. The kindly hotel staff led by Taal Vista Hotel's very own Ms. Marla Fresnido joined us making sure that we had a great time staying at Taal Vista Hotel.
We cannot thank them enough because truth be told, we really did enjoy
every minute of our stay. Like I mentioned on the previous post, it is
one of the best staycations I have ever had.
No Tagaytay trip will ever be complete in my book without stopping by my favorite pasalubong spot, Rowena's. It was Gio and Eugene's first time there and I find their excitement downright amusing.
After which, we were once again headed to Manila. Eugene talked me into binge watching the American series Blindspot which I ended up loving to the core, I tell you. Despite the fact that binge watching series is the death of me and my productivity, I indulge myself because that weekend was all about having a good time I usually forget to have. So I have Taal Vista Hotel to thank for reminding me just that.
Back in Manila, I cannot help but to miss our room at Taal Vista, specifically this view as shown on photo below. Then again, it made me look forward to coming back again and again and again.
