There are two things I am loving at McDonald's Philippines right now; first is the new and improved Chicken McDo, and second is McDo PH's "Anong Chicken Ni Joy?" TV Commercial. These two are currently making its presence known in different Social Media channels with the hashtag #chickenmcmcmcdo.
Rightfully so, since we all know that McDonald's has always been considered as one of the popular food chains here in the country. And to up its game, McDonald's Philippines has once again creates something well worth to be the current talk of the town.
The McDonald's PH TVC "Anong Chicken Ni Joy?" for one plays on creativity not just to support the launch of the new and improved Chicken McDo but to show as well their playful streak in creating something that will leave an impression. I am loving the pun in particular as I have never in my wildest dream did imagine that I will be using the words Chicken and Joy when talking about Chicken McDo. See what they did there?
Now about the new and improved Chicken McDo. I couldn't agree more how apt the "Anong Chicken Ni Joy?" TVC because upon tasting the improved version of Chicken McDo, it somehow reminds me of the chicken that I thought every Joy in our country loves. In my opinion, there is a resemblance.
It is described that the newly improved Chicken McDo is made all the more juicier and tastier with just the right crunch by marinating and breading the chicken and ultimately, frying it to golden perfection.
And for someone who used to be a non-believer, it left a really good impression on me. To be honest, I always favored the local competitors take on fried chicken because I grew up loving it to the core. And in fairness to them, it has always been good.
But this new Chicken McDo is such a pleasant revelation. A welcome option and break from the usual fried chicken I enjoy.
This Chicken McDo is of course best paired with gravy. When eaten as a complete meal, it is best enjoyed with McDonald's new Mushroom soup which is equally impressive.
With that, I highly recommend that you try the new and improved Chicken McDo especially if you are just like me who is more appreciative of other McDo products and would usually disregard their golden fried chicken that beckons. Because trust me, the improvement made me a convert.
And if you are so incline, I also suggest that you check out the "Anong Chicken Ni Joy" TVC on McDonald's Philippines YouTube Channel and revel on the pun. The comment section is also quite entertaining so you might want to check that out while you're at it.
