Yabu, the well-loved and probably the most famous katsu restaurant in Manila recently launched its New Katsu Pairs. Alongside these new pairs, two new Tofu Katsu dishes were also launched which adds to already impressive numbers of dishes that one may enjoy at Yabu besides the classic favorites.
Apparently, the New Katsu Pairs at Yabu is the answer to peoples dream of pairing up their favorite katsu options rather than being boxed up to the previous choices of sets at Yabu.
So if you are a Yabu fanatic and is very particular with your favorite katsu combination at Yabu, I am telling you, there are plenty of good things to look forward to when you visit Yabu.
The Tofu Katsu has two variants; one is the classic Agadeshi Tofu and the other one is Tofu Katsu with Uni.
Uni is one of my most favorite food in the world hence, it is expected that I would like the Tofu Katsu with Uni from the get go. What surprised me however was the fact that it was the Agadeshi Tofu that ended up as my favorite between the two. Mainly because I find the one with uni too rich because of its sauce while the agadeshi was just perfect.
As with the New Katsu Pairs, there are five variants or combination available. Everything is pretty much self explanatory so when faced with the list of options, all you have to do is decide the best pairing for you.
There's Rosu and Salmon pair, Chicken and Dory pair, and Rosu and Oyster Pair.
There's also Chicken and Menchi pair and Rosu and Prawn pair. If on the other hand you cannot decide, it is always best to opt for the deluxe combination which features everything namely Rosu, Menchi, Prawn, Chicken, and Oyster in one set.
So if you happen to be craving for really good ol' katsu, I suggest you visit Yabu and check out their New Katsu Pairs. If in the past you are having a hard time deciding provided with the limited options, now is the best time to feast on that Katsu favorite of yours and enjoy the tofu katsu as well while you're at it.
