Ramen Nagi Manila recently released their newest Limited King Ramen, Nagoya King. With its default spice level of 10 that cannot be altered, Ramen Nagi's Nagoya King is aptly tagged as The Ultimate Spicy Ramen.
And I couldn't agree more. Considering that I could handle spicy food well, the Nagoya King really blew me away. Daunting? I don't think so. Because it is the kind of spiciness that will make you crave for more.
Being part of Ramen Nagi's Limited King edition line of ramen, Nagoya King will only stay on the menu for well, a limited time frame. Making it one of the must order dishes at Ramen Nagi to date. Perfect for the cold weather we are now experiencing here in Manila.
Essentially, Nagoya King (Php450) is said to be inspired by the ancient city of Nagoya in Japan. Its bright red and burning special sauce are dead giveaway that its spice level is no joke, but not something to shy away from as well.
While the prominent flavor is its spiciness, the rich broth still
screams of good quality ingredients in which it was made from. It is not
the kind of spiciness that remains true to its spunk just for the hell
of it Rather, it is the kind which has depth - prominent enough to make
its presence known, dignified enough to let all the other components
shine through.
Best enjoyed with a cold mug of beer, Kirin or Sapporo - totally your call. Also best enjoyed with other equally delightful dishes you may find at Ramen Nagi's Menu.
Our choice of accompaniment for this particular visit were the Aurora Shrimp (Php370) and the well-loved Chicken Karaage (Php250). Both of which were great appetizers but with its big serving portions, these stuff can be a meal in itself. But then again, would you skip ramen? I don't think so.
Hence, if so inclined like we were, a big bowl of the Nagoya King can be a treat but to elevate the experience, a bowl of your favorite ramen alongside the feast isn't a bad idea either.
Ergo, this bowl of Green King Ramen / Midori (Php410) also graced our table with its amazing presence coupled with excellent flavor one will not soon forget.
As previously mentioned, the Nagoya King Ramen is only available for limited time only. Therefore, I highly recommend that you drop by the nearest Ramen Nagi branch and enjoy a bowl or two.
