IHOP Restaurant is known for their delicious all-day breakfast menu offerings worldwide. In keeping up with their commitment to create innovative dishes, IHOP Philippines just released their all new lunch and dinner menu which aims to spread happiness all day, everyday.
Those delicious fluffy pancakes which we all know as their claim to fame will still be available all throughout the day alongside other IHOP signature breakfast dishes. This time however, there will be more delicious dishes to choose from.
As of the time of writing this, IHOP Philippines has six branches in Manila. For this particular visit to check out their new lunch and dinner menu, I went to their Cubao Araneta branch which I must say my current favorite IHOP branch because the staff there are all amazing. Everytime I visit IHOP Cubao Araneta branch, I feel confident that it will be a great dining experience.
Going back to the new IHOP Lunch and Dinner menu, I am happy to report that there are already some Filipino dishes thrown in the mix for a good measure. I was also informed that IHOP recently worked on their prices hence, diners can now expect a more budget friendly price tags.
Garlic Cream Cobb Salad (Php245) ~ Farm fresh Romaine lettuce, watercress, escarole greens, vine ripened tomatoes, avocado, blue cheese crumble, egg, and bacon bits tossed in creamy garlic ranch dressing.
I have tried some of the salads available at IHOP but this Garlic Cream Cobb Salad is my current favorite. I love the generous serving portion and the exciting flavors brought about by the combination of ingredients. Definitely a must try if you want a respite from your usual leafy salads.
Bacon Temptation Omelette (Php365) ~ Bacon strips and bits enveloped in a melange of cheeses topped with bacon and diced tomatoes.
I have blogged about couple of IHOP omelette in the past but this one which has bacon as the main star is definitely impressive and must not missed by fellow bacon-lovers.
Bacon Topped Chicken Breast with Potato Hash (Php295) ~ Bacon and cheese topped grilled chicken breast with Pepper Jack over seasoned potatoes with grilled onions, green peppers, and hollandaise.
Everything with bacon can be a sure winner of course. But what made this dish a real winner was the combination of the perfectly grilled chicken, cheese, and the hollandaise. Everything else was just a bonus, but a delightful one at that.
Pork Chop with Pineapple Salsa (Php245/1pc., Php295/2pcs.) ~ Grilled pork chop laced with homemade pineapple salsa then served with steamed broccoli and white rice.
There is something about surprisingly light about this dish. But that is not to say that it is not filling because one piece can easily satisfy a hefty eater since it is served with steamed rice. I guess it is better said that despite this dish being a pork dish, the refreshing taste of the pineapple salsa makes it pleasantly light and easy on the palate.
Cordon Bleu (Php265) ~ Breaded tender chicken, ham, and cheese fried to a golden brown crisp lathered with a rich cream sauce then served with rice and buttered corn.
Cordon Bleu in general is a classic dish I always favored when pressed to choose for a chicken dish. IHOP's version is nothing but amazing not just because of its generous serving portion but also because of the tenderness of the chicken and the beautiful medley of flavors it comes with.
BBQ Liempo (Php245) ~ Sweet BBQ glazed pork belly served with papaya chutney and steamed rice.
Yes, they do have BBQ Liempo at IHOP now! It is one of the local dishes that makes IHOP Philippines a great place to dine in for those who wants a taste of IHOP's Signature dishes alongside the dishes which got the Pinoy factor written all over it.
Country Fried Chicken Fillet (Php245) ~ Lean Chicken breast fillet battered and fried to a golden brown crisp then smothered with country gravy. Served with steamed rice and buttered corn.
I had a mistake of setting this aside while I was trying out all the other dishes just because I know it was a fried chicken and I am wondering how else can you make a fried chicken good which is already good on its own. Then I tried a bite with the gravy and I haven't left it since until I finished everything on the plate. Its gravy was a revelation! I am honestly salivating while I am writing this.
Tilapia Florentine (Php295/1pc, Php395/2pcs.) ~ Two fillets over fresh spinach sauce. Served with mashed potatoes and garlic bread.
There is other Tilapia dish which was the Cajun Tilapia that is made delicious with Caju spices. But if you prefer your tilapia dish with lighter flavor profile, then the Florentine may be the one for you.
Waffle Burger (Php395) ~ Juicy 100% beef burger topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and egg on a crisp Belgian Waffle bun.
This Waffle Burger is the winner of the International dineChef Contest, a competition where IHOP chefs all over the world competed to create a new and uniquely crave-worthy menu items. If you love burger and has an affinity for waffle, then this one definitely will make you happy.
Cheese Steak Sandwich (Php355) ~ A hero sandwich of grilled steak, onions, mushroom, and bell peppers, topped with melted Mozzarella cheese.
What made this sandwich special, I must say, was the generosity of the delicious steak filling. Some cheese steak sandwich falls short in giving that hardcore meaty flavor because they usually scrimp on the meat, but this one at IHOP is impressively generous.
Tuna Melt (Php325) ~ Savory tuna, mayonnaise, and diced onion topped with melted mozzarella cheese in toasted sourdough batard with fresh lettuce, tomato, and cucumber.
Again, just like the previous sandwich, this one was equally generous. Since it is tuna, the flavor is much lighter but not less filling. All sandwiches at IHOP comes with side dish of either fried or onion rings.
Aside from the lunch and dinner menu, IHOP Philippines also introduces their all new fresh fruit juices, shakes, and smoothies which aims to spread both happiness and wellness. Some of their fresh fruit juices include Rise and Shine, Everyday Green Juice, Top of the Morning, Bright and Early, and Fresh Vibes.
So if you happen to visit your favorite IHOP branch, I suggest that aside from enjoying the usual all-day breakfast menu, might as well try out their new lunch and dinner menu. There are several items to choose from aside from the items I have listed here including desserts, hence I suggest that you plan that IHOP food trip now.
