There are a lot of hotels near Ninoy Aquino International Airport and with the newly completed NAIA Expressway, travelers can expect to set foot at the City of Dreams Manila which houses impressive hotel properties, within approximately five minutes. With that good news, I figured it was the best time to have a staycation at Hyatt Hotel at City of Dreams Manila with some friends who just came from South Korea.
The convenience of really short travel time from picking them up at the airport to arriving at Hyatt COD was impressive.

But then of course, its proximity to the airport is not the only thing that makes Hyatt the best option for a satisfying hotel stay when in Manila. There are plenty of other reasons which make Hyatt, City of Dreams Manila your next best hotel destination.
Whether you are staying as a traveler or if you are with your family, group of friends, or even colleagues, Hyatt COD has a lot of things to offer. Take for instance the entire Entertainment City that houses popular boutiques and restaurants, there is also of course the casino. On top of that, the amenities within Hyatt Hotel is also a feat in itself. The area is also very near SM Mall of Asia and Mall of Asia Arena.
Check in time at Hyatt COD is at 2pm and check out is at 12noon. Since we were booked in one of the Hyatt Club Rooms, we had the privilege to have a speedy check in process at the Club Lounge of the hotel. There are other benefits if you are booked in a Club Room, but we will get to that later.
We were assigned a Club Room at the 8th floor, the highest floor of Tower 1 with a great view. The room itself is spacious enough. Not as big as the one I have stayed in at Oakwood nor in Vivere, but spacious enough to satisfy our short and sweet stay.
The room has the usual basic things one may need in a hotel room. Twin beds were immaculately dressed with what I thought as one of the most comfortable sheets and pillows I have ever encountered. I was not really tired that day but the bed was so comfortable, I slept like a baby.
There’s a flat screen television attached on the wall, a work area, and a space for luggage rack. There’s a door that leads to the adjacent room should the guests opt to book adjoining rooms. Despite the absence of the usual sofa bed I always favor as it can serve as an extra space for lounging, there are comfortable couple of chairs and a table provided nonetheless.
There is also a well-stocked mini bar with complimentary coffee and tea. Mini bar snacks and drinks are also available with the usual hotel rate price tags of course. The closet space is ample enough in my opinion. And I appreciate that there’s plenty of clothe hangers provided which was a rarity in some of the hotels I have stayed in. Iron board, iron, bath robes, safety box, sleepers – all of these are neatly kept inside the closet.
I may have mentioned in one of my hotel staycation blog posts before that I am all for spacious, clean, and well-stocked bathroom. In this league, Hyatt COD did not disappoint. Theirs is one of the most spacious bathroom I have ever encountered during hotel staycation. Toiletries are also well provided.
Another remarkable thing about the Club Room we stayed in at Hyatt was the beautiful view. Sitting by the glass floor-to-ceiling window, the view of the room itself in its spic-and-pan glory is a pleasure in itself, but when you look outside, a different level of aesthetics awaits.
It features gardens and swimming pools of nearby hotel properties within City of Dreams Manila. Those golden building were beautiful reflections of each other especially during golden hour when playful spectrum of the area gives a luxurious vibe it’s impossible not to be astounded by its beauty.
I could stay inside our room and still enjoy our entire stay but then there are other parts of the hotel well worth visiting if only to complete a satisfying Hyatt COD experience.
Included at Hyatt COD amenities are salon for total self-care and pampering. There is also a 24-hour fitness center for those who don’t want to miss their fitness regime as well as for those who wants to keep the guilt at bay after feasting on hotel’s food offerings. Lastly, there’s of course the swimming pool area which I deem quite popular among the guests.
As for the food, while there are several restaurants within the City of Dreams vicinity, if you do not wish to go farther, there are several places at Hyatt where you can get some grubs.
One of them is The Club Lounge which is accessible for those who are booked in a Club Room. Access to The Club Lounge entitles the guests to have their breakfast, afternoon snacks, and pre-dinner cocktails. It also provides all-day unlimited drinks for guests who have access.

Of course, there is also The Café, Hyatt’s in-house buffet restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet. I have already blogged about The Café before and I cannot stress enough how much I like it because while they offer great quality buffet grubs, the buffet rates are very affordable.
Then there is The Lounge located by the Casino area and Hyatt’s entrance. It is basically a café where guest may enjoy different café grubs, different non-alcoholic beverages, spirits and liquors. We were able to try the Specialty Illy Coffee Chocolate Praline concoctions and it was total game changer hence, should not be missed when at Hyatt.
Personally, I find our staycation at Hyatt City of Dreams Manila an impressive and enjoyable stay. The room rates are very affordable considering you will be getting an excellent service and a really comfortable and relaxing stay. The fact that there is already a road that leads guests to and from the airport within a short period of time is a big plus.
