I was recently introduced to Suy Foods products and I got a bit excited because one of readers' requests that I have been getting these days is review and features about Halal certified food products in Manila. Yes, Suy Foods longganisa, tocino, and chicken products you will be seeing in this post fit the bill, I am happy to report.
Not only Suy Foods products are Halal certified, I deem they are also a tad healthier option for those who craves for the usual longganisa and tocino but are trying to dodge pork on their diet. As Suy Foods tag line goes, "It's all about Chicken!"
Halal food, I believe is no longer a foreign concept these days. For those who do not share the same beliefs though, it is guaranteed that you can still enjoy products of Suy Foods especially if you favor chicken over any other meat.
Suy Foods main products are Chicken Longganisa, Chicken Tocino, and Chicken Roll. Chicken Longganisa variants and flavors include Skinless Longganisa Original Flavor (Php85.75), Skinless Longganisa Curry Flavor (Php87.75), Skinless Longganisa Spicy Flavor (Php87.75), Skinless Longganisa Spanish Style (87.75), Smoked Longganisa Original Flavor (Php135.75), Smoked Longganisa with Cheese (Php137.75).
Chicken Tocino also has different flavors such as Tocino Original Flavor
(Php113.75), Tocino Curry Flavor (Php116.75), Tocino Teriyaki Flavor
(Php116.75). The Chicken Rolls with Cheese (Php73.75) on the other hand
is equally noteworthy and even ended up as one of my favorites among the
lot.
I was able to try all of the above mentioned variants and while I find
each and one of them impressive and well worth recommending, I managed
to pick some of my favorites. First one was Tocino Teriyaki Flavor which
may be a bit biased since I love anything Teriyaki. The Tocino Curry
Flavor on the other hand just blew me away for its tender and flavorful
goodness.
The Smoked Chicken Longganisa, both the original and cheese flavor were
also good. It sort of reminds me of the longganisa I enjoy in one some
of my favorite restaurants but even better. The Spanish Style flavor of
the Skinless Longganisa I deem perfect because of its intense flavor.
Lastly,
the Chicken Rolls with Cheese. I ended up really really liking this one
to be honest. It's like eating sausage stuffed with cheese without the
porky guilt because hey, it's made out of chicken.
With these exciting variants, it can be easily enjoyed as it is or even challenge oneself to create delightful dishes in the kitchen using Suy Food products. Personally, I enjoy the classic -silog breakfast fare hence, throw in some fried eggs, garlic fried rice, and condiments to my cooked Suy Foods longganisa, tocino, and chicken rolls - then I am a happy camper.
All things considered, I must say that I can highly recommend Suy Foods products simply because it's delicious, obviously made of high quality ingredients, and reasonably priced as well. There are not a lot of Halal certified food that I have come across and written about here on my blog and I am glad that Suy Foods is one of the first few ones as I look up to featuring more Halal food in the future.
