Regular readers of this blog know how much I love US Potatoes whether it is fresh, frozen, or dehydrated. Over the years, I have shared several recipes here on the blog using US Potatoes. To this day, I am still a believer. I rely on US Potato if I want to create and eat something good and nutritious.
I’m working my way to a much healthier me- starting with quitting my smoking habit (which I’ve done for almost a year now), being mindful on the food that I consume, and exercise daily.
Quitting smoking entails gaining weight for some and that includes me. That is why recently, I have come up with a simple way to manage my food intake. I am not too crazy about getting thin because truth is, I am at peace with my body structure. What I am concerned about is being healthy. I don't mind being plump, I just want to be healthy.
So, I figured why not try to make a 5-Day Healthy Meal Plan that suits my lifestyle. I have been doing it for two weeks now and let me tell you that following a 5-Day Meal Plan saves me from consuming excessive amount of food that my body doesn’t need.
Also, having a meal plan allows me the liberty and inspiration to incorporate more US Potatoes in my meals. As we all know, US Potatoes are a good health food to include in our diet.
It is worth noting that US Potatoes are naturally fat-free and cholesterol-free and sodium-free which makes them a good choice for those who have kidney concerns. It is also a good source of Vitamin C that promotes healthy skin and hair. They can reduce risk of high blood pressure and stroke as it is a good source of potassium.
I am sharing the 5 Day Healthy Meal Plan with US Potatoes that I created and used last week. I am still creating meal plans as I’m writing this but I am playing on variety because trust me, there are plenty of delicious and healthy dishes you can create with US Potatoes.
This sample 5 Day Healthy Meal Plan is the one that fits my lifestyle in a week when I don't have much strenuous activities to do. I make it a point to incorporate at least one US Potato dish a day. I use air fryer so there's very little, if ever there was, oil in these food.
