Today is Philippines Independence Day. Aside from honoring the memory of those who fought for our country's freedom, another way to celebrate patriotism is to feast on our local food and share it with our loved ones. If you are like me who is crazy busy and do not have time to cook, there is always GrabFood food delivery service we can count on.
There are many Filipino merchants on GrabFood App. It is a perfect food delivery service to use because they make sure that there is something for everyone's taste.
Now in this blog post, I will be giving you my GrabFood's local restaurant recommendations. This is to help you decide what could be the best food you may enjoy today as we celebrate our Independence Day while supporting our beloved Filipino food merchants.
This list is in random order because it is hard to decide what's the best among them since I love everything on this list. Also, these are just few, I know there are tons on GrabFood App so I highly encourage you to check on it as well. Meanwhile, here are my recommendations.
1. Andoks
Who doesn't love Andoks? Perhaps I have yet to meet someone who doesn't appreciate the goodness of the food offerings they have at Andoks from their Litson Manok to their Dokito down to the Andoks Chicharon that they offer. And recently, their Andoks Litson Baka is creating quite a stir in social media with strings of good feedback from those who have tried it.
2. Giligans Restaurant
I always have a soft spot for Giligans Restaurant because they are one of those that offers delicious and reasonably prized Filipino food. They offer ala carte menu items such as Crispy Pata, Sinigang na Bangus Belly, Crispy Sisig and Grilled Squid. They also offer Family Group Meals which are perfect for big groups with big appetite.
3. Cafe Mary Grace
I know we all love Mary Grace Cheese Roll, Lemon Bars, and Ensaymada. But there are also other delicious food offerings that you may enjoy from their menu, namely Chicken Inasal Sandwich with Tomato & Wansoy Salsa, Vigan Longganisa and Kesong Puti Sandwich, Dulong Pate and Cassava Chips, Pork Tocino Breakfast and Mary Grace Mushroom Cream Pasta just to name a few.
4. Kuya J Restaurant
Another one of my favorite, definitely. Their Sinigang na Tadyang ng Baka, Beef Caldereta, Kuja J Bulalo, and Kuya J Kare-Kare are to die for and should not be missed. One of my favorites from Kuya J is their flavorful Crispy Pata.
5. Sinangag Express
What could be more Pinoy than our very own Silog Meals? At Sinangag Express, you'll have plenty of it and then some. They have this famed Ilocos Bagnet Meal, Chicksilog, Tapsilog, Tocilog, BBq Porksilog, and they even have Special beef Pares, Vigan and Lucban Longganisa meal among many others.
6. Lydia's Lechon
Lechon is definitely a dish that is almost always present when we are talking about Filipino Dish. When it comes to lechon, you cannot go wrong with one of the pioneer in the business, Lydias Lechon. Good thing about Lydia's Lechon is that they also offer other delicious Filipino food aside from lechon such as Sinigang, Lumpiang Sariwa, Dinuguan, Pinakbet, and local dessert like Suman with Ripe Mango.
These are just some of the local restaurants you can find on GrabFood that I can recommend but trust me, there are still more. So after reading this blog post, I encourage you to open your GrabFood App (Download it if you haven't already), and browse through different local food merchants there and check out all the feast you can order for you and your loved ones.
Thank you GrabFood, we can have the best and safest food trip this Independence Day at the comfort of our home!
