A Delicious French Dinner Affair at Nostalgia Dining Lounge, Oakwood Manila

Nostalgia Dining Lounge, the in-house restaurant of Oakwood Premier Joy-Nostalg Center Manila is currently poised to enchant its diners with classic French Cuisine for the month of March. Oakwood’s Executive Chef Jerome Catailler has whipped up traditional dishes from his hometown in line with Nostalgia’s Nostalgic Culinary Weeks with main focus on France.

Diners may enjoy the classic French cuisine as ala carte dining options every dinner from March 14 to 30, 2016 only at Nostalgia Dining Lounge.

I have written about Nostalgia before and even enjoyed a weekend staycation at Oakwood, and I must say that theirs are one of the hotel restaurants which quality of food I am always confident about. The lunch we had to check out these amazing French dishes only proved that Nostalgia is still on top of its game.

Deal Grocer Experience

Let me say this from the get-go, before trying out Deal Grocer, I am skeptical when it comes to group buying sites. Case in point, during the time when majority of the food bloggers I know were writing about their dining experiences made possible through the vouchers they bought at some group buying site sprouting those days, I got nothing to contribute. Simply because I do not patronize such.

Those horrifying group buying sites experiences documented on blog posts you can find all over the internet also didn't help. So, call me a less than smart consumer if you must, but I will still stand firm on my belief that if I want good quality food and service, I must pay it with fair price.

I have been blogging about restaurants for nearly eight years now, that cliche that says "You get what you pay for" holds truth in it. So, I would rather work hard and save money for those experiences which will guarantee a good quality food and service instead of pushing my luck that my vouchers will not disappoint me. It's food that nourishes the body we are talking about, I hate being disappointed when it comes to that, so I don't mind spending.

Breakfast Buffet at Fab Restaurant, Holiday Inn Galleria Manila

I stayed at Holiday Inn Hotel Galleria Manila with my family weeks ago to celebrate my sister's birthday. Part of our accommodation was complimentary breakfast buffet at Fab Restaurant. It was not my first encounter with Fab Restaurant since my parent's default hotel choice for family bonding has always been Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza Hotel because of some Priority Club membership they are part of.

Fab is the in-house restaurant of Holiday Inn Galleria Manila that offers breakfast buffet and all-day dining menu. Although Seven Corners Restaurant located at the connecting hotel Crowne Plaza is more famous, Fab Restaurant also offers impressive International food choices.

Nostalgia Dining Lounge at Oakwood Hotel, Ortigas

Nostalgia Dining Lounge is the new revamped version of Oakroom Restaurant at Oakwood Premier-Joy Nostalg Center in Ortigas. Launched February of this year, Nostalgia Dining Lounger still aims to be food enthusiast's best bet as one of the Best Restaurants in Manila. With its rebirth, the restaurant is sporting a new look that is suggestive of old days gone by mixed with modern sophistication - best fit for a fine dining restaurant that represents one of the Best Hotels / Apartment Services known in the country.

Staying true to the name Nostalgia, Executive Chef Jerome Cartailler bring forth his beloved family recipes from France since way back alongside the usual crowd favorites during the time when Nostalgia is still Oakroom.

I have always loved Oakroom Restaurant at Oakwood. If you are a regular reader of YedyLicious, you know the countless times I have blogged about it. I even hosted couple of giveaways. So, when I heard that they recently made a revamped to further better serve their patrons, I was so excited. Right after my trip to Palawan, I went directly to Nostalgia to check out its new look and other offerings.

Xin Tian Di, signature Chinese restaurant of Crowne Plaza Hotel Manila Galleria is currently offering set menus of auspicious dishes perfect for Chinese New Year celebration this 2014. Impressive Chinese cuisine that are known to bring good luck this Year of the Wooden Horse can be enjoyed at Xin Tian Di starting today, January 30, 2014 to February 13, 2014. 

One of Xin Tian Di’s Chinese New Year auspicious entrees is the Yu Sheng Salad which is more known as the CNY “Prosperity Toss Salad.” This Chinese delicacy when translated to English means “abundance of wealth and long life.” 

I have been participating to Chinese New Year gatherings for quite a while now but it was only this year that I got to try the wonders of Yu Sheng Salad Ceremony. And trust me, it’s fun. “A good excuse to play and have fun with your food” one of my dinner mates noted during the preview of the CNY dinner celebration at Xin Tian Di. The fact that it can bring prosperity is an added bonus.

Oakroom Restaurant's Saturday Night Fever Dinner Buffet at Oakwood Premier Manila

Oakroom Restaurant, the signature restaurant of Oakwood Premier Joy-Nostalg Center Manila in Ortigas is known to dish out themed hotel buffet offerings every quarter. For the first quarter of this year, they give a flavorful touch of delectable goodness to their buffet spread through their Saturday Night Fever Dinner Buffet which started last January 11, 2014.

During the launch of the dinner buffet at Oakroom, we sampled some of the offerings on the spread which comprised of delightful international dishes. While the spread, particularly the quality of the food is enticing enough, this special buffet promo is further elevated with the inclusion of Chef Jerome Cartailler's Cronuts Station.
